What is Poly Steel construction? This home is not a stick home. You cannot compare it to one. Poly Steel is ICF construction- insulated concrete forms. This is a Poly Steel house, which means that It can take up to 250 mile per hour winds; it is energy efficient, and semi-sound ''proof''-more quiet. The concrete is poured through polystyrene forms that is reinforced with some type of metal. (this differs depending upon the brand) The R factor of Poly Steel walls is 22. (Pay lower utilities!) The sound transmission is 52 -(60 is considered excellent); a stick house is rated 36. An ICF or Poly Steel house is quality construction-very, very solid. The Veka decking is a PVC deck board that exceeds the ASTM standards. Its low water absorption makes it ideal for high humidity environments. The only maintenance required is an occasional mopping with mild soapy water. This property also sells with a dock permit located behind the home.
